Delayed feedback form on web7

Messages generated by a feedback form on a client's website were delayed over the weekend by up to 56 hours. Was there a known issue that caused the delay?

The local SMTP service crashed and went unnoticed since messages can still be injected locally in the queue. This was taken care of and all messages were delivered with a delay.
