Mail AutoResponder

Hello -

If an autoresponder is setup for a email account, shouldn't any mail arriving at that address receive an autoresponse?

I am utilizing a php script for a email form within a Flash swf. The email is received properly, however the autoresponse is never generated.

If I email the account directly via Outlook Express, I do receive the autoresponse, however not through the website submission.

Anyone have any ideas? Is there some way to set additional autoresponse options?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Maybe autoresponses are not sent to local addresses, or messages that have only passed through the local server. I can imagine something like that to prevent infinite loops with autoresponses to autoresponses.

I believe there is some auto response protection now, as their used to be "autoresponder wars" that would last until one was disabled, or blocked from the server(which had negative effects for everyone)
