It was fine for awhile, however today I have the same problem logging in with my EMail client......it says Not an IMAP server.........z

Well something needs to be changed on that.......cause I can't get my EMail at present..........z

That doesn't solve other problems. For instance, I can use one mail server for outgoing just fine........but another one doesn't work .........and settings are exactly the same..........z

The Drupal download zip file has an .htaccess file in it......remember to take out the extra spaces.........z

Must be a problem in Xammp/Mysql on local side........because SqlYOG works fine.........z

Replaced the dll in 2 places, xampp\mysql\lib, and xampp\php Shut down and restarted apache/mysql also Still can't connect..............also created a brand new user and that also didn't work z

OH...ok.....Using windows on my local machine.....but website is hosted on unix.....If you can provide a link to an earlier lib that would be great.....or I could just Google for one........z

I'm not showing a real password, so hashes don't matter.......prolly shouldn't have blocked out the password.......at any rate I just threw some password together...NOT even close to the one I'm using.....I had to show the hash was the same on both servers though........ My local mySQL server...

Well. It appears that there really IS a problem with the mail server(s). Despite my not making absolutely sure I was logging in to port 587, there is still an issue. I cannot send EMail until I have started my EMail client and gotten my EMails. After some hours, the server apparently times...

If you are using this, and you are using SMTP Auth (which you should be if you're using a user name/pw to log into your mail server to send mail) make SURE that the port in class.smtp.php is 587 and not 25. I thought there was a problem with the mail server, but it was my SCREWUP that failed...
