Andy, thanks for sharing this info with us. JH is honest and they work really hard for their customers. Nobody is perfect, so they make mistakes like everyone else but this experience shows how hard they work for us.

I use IMAP for email. I create a local folder, drag all my emails from the old provider to the local folder. Then once I am up on the new provider I setup IMAP with them and simply drag the messages into the folder on their server.

Did you get the prompt asking you to download the imap mail folders from the server the first time? Is it receiving the mail, just not sending? Did you try both 587 and 25 mentioned in step 8? When you click the "settings" button beside the "my server requires authentication" check box is...
