    htaccess IE7 issues

Thanks, Stephen. I was afraid it would be something like this... Now I have to figure out another way to use a database record to determine directory level access...Cookies, maybe?

    htaccess IE7 issues

I have a directory which is using htaccess to limit access via a log/pass. It works just fine, but when I pass the log/pass in a URL string such as: http://username:[email protected]/mydir it works fine in firefox, but in IE7, it fails immediately, not finding the address. This...

    30-day limit?

Thanks, Stephan. I somehow missed the post which mentioned the policy has been lifted.

    30-day limit?

I remember not so long ago there was an express policy regarding a 30-day limit after which emails would be removed from the server. Is this policy still in place?

    Ftps?

I have a client who is requesting secure ftp (ftp over SSL, or FTPS) and was wondering if this service is something we can offer. Platform does not matter...

Re: Hi I have develope a resources site, can anyone pls review it & give some comment Looks like you still have alot of work ahead of you. If you're going to put out a resources site targeting web developers, you should at least ensure that your code validates... <edit> 8o <font> tags? No...

    Forms authentication and cookies

I'm currently using session variables as the primary method of authentication throughout a number of asp applications. This method is problematic due to the memory-intensive nature of session variables and the lack of control over timeouts. Are cookies the only other method for...

    New WebMail Interface

In regards to Yash's related post here, I'd like to request that we have hoarde up and running BEFORE disabling the web mail clients available at mail.yourdomain.com. Most of my clients (and there are many) use the hoarde interface and will not be happy if it suddenly becomes unavailable.

    SELECT Question

This is a known issue with mssql/classic asp when using fields of datatype “text”. These fields and those subsequent to them in the database column order will not display when using response.write(recordset.fields.item(“name”).value). A workaround I’ve successfully employed: 1. Put...

    CDO script / auth

What can I say, just a quick and dirty cut and paste for a test; I'll clean up the extraneous bits before production just to keep maintenance easier... The script did work, it was just jodohost's (receiving) mail servers getting another case of constipation which delayed the messages by about...

    CDO script / auth

Strange. Yeah, it's definitely not making it through; I've hard-coded the "to" address with one of my most consistently used accounts on the same mail server, but no joy...

    CDO script / auth

There is likely a simple solution to this, but I've not yet stumbled upon it so am posting here: I'm trying to get CDO to play nice with AOL, so am using the following script as a test model. Obviously, I'm substituting for mydomain.com. The script returns no errors, but also sends no mails...

    Email and spam filters

    Email and spam filters

The whitelist in conjuction with well-crafted web forms to provide initial contacts is likely the best possible solution. Now if there was just a way to allow the customer to easily add an email to the whitelist without logging into the control panel, I think that we can whip this problem.

Yup, always have been. I've had this domain (not yyy.com, of course) for over 5 years; it services some 30 email addresses which never have problems except for those used for Yahoo accounts...

Hey there, Stephen! The most common is the "550 5.7.1 Unable to relay" refered to above. I don't recall the details of the others, but will post them here as they occur.
