it looks like the RSS feed is just new posts and has nothing to do with being network updates. What I think I would like to see as well as others is a network update feed that resellers can pull and publish on our sites so our customers would get the latest information.

I posted a while back that it would be nice if there was a way that Jodohost could publish the network outages and stuff in a RSS format and we (as resellers) could write a client to get that feed and publish on our website.
