    Community Server and Web Installer

Hi folks, Has anyone had success in trying to setup Community Server using the Web Install method? http://docs.communityserver.org/wiki/page.aspx/23/web-install-wizard/ I have uploaded the files, support changed the account to asp.net 2.0, changed the file \Installer\default.aspx to...

Snow in west central Texas, day before Easter!

Snowing here in Western New York State as well (although not all that uncommon for here this time of year) I don't hear quite as many claims right now though of Global Warming! :D

Frontpage Support - continuing or phasing out?

Microsoft is continuing to support FrontPage extensions on Windows boxes for quite some time still. I do admit that the entire migration of the Microsoft technologies is very confusing though. FrontPage Extensions on Windows..are still supported FrontPage Extensions on *nix no longer...

Dumb HSphere question - determine accounts up for renewal soon

Hi Tim, Hopefully someone comes along with a better idea..as I would like to know as well. What I do right now for these types of situations..is to use some type of offline reminders. Something like Outlook. Not the most elegant solution..but it at least prods me when I want it to.

    What does this mean?

Thanks Stephen...It really puzzles me too...actually I had seen some unusual traffic from several other porn sites about 6 months or so ago but didn't investigate it at all and it stopped fairly quickly. Frankly I was more concerned about any potential security risks (if there are any) than the...

    What does this mean?

Hi Folks, I noticed an unusual number of hits coming to one of my domains from a porn site. I wasn't sure why, but when I went to the site I saw the JavaScript that is below in the source code. (Where you see mydomain.com I have edited that from my real domain name) So does anyone know...

    Front Page Dec 1st.

One possibility to consider for saving a little cash. If you can get a licensed full version of FrontPage on the cheap... eBay maybe? You could use that as a qualifying product to upgrade to Expression for approximately $90.00

    Front Page Dec 1st.

Web bots that were created with FrontPage (the code as bloated and non standards compliant as it is) will continue to function in Expression..however nearly everything that FrontPage had to create these will be gone. Things like photo galleries, nav bars, etc. I haven't created a form yet...

    Front Page Dec 1st.

Here's some information on pricing for Expression Web: http://by-expression.com/ The other two parts (Graphic Designer and Interactive Designer) are a little further behind and I don't believe there is any pricing yet on those.

Very Slow FTP in FrontPage and Expressions

Hi Dennis, FrontPage extensions will still be supported on Windows servers for quite awhile. If you would rather use http:// to publish..you could consider Windows servers. As far as using ftp goes..when I do use it I always use a different client than the included ones.

    Front Page Dec 1st.

Expression rocks! When the whole suite is released MS will no longer be needing to catch up to Dreamweaver..it will be the other way around. I think there is an upgrade path you can take from FrontPage to Expression Web..that is somewhere around $89.00? on Amazon. Shipping late December...

    What's about Webmail?

Hi Tanmaya, Yes thanks for the reply..I think I understand the situation now. I do see it as a concern though for those that do not know how to determine the correct ip address. I wonder if it might be easier/better to possibly even eliminate squirrel as a client?
